Burton Albion – Interesting Facts
Burton Albion FC were officially formed on 5 July 1950 at a public meeting at the Town Hall in Burton-upon-Trent. The club was founded to bring senior football back to the town, with official papers being signed the following day, 6 July 1950.

Main Nickname: The Brewers.
Origin: This nickname stems from Burton upon Trent’s long-standing, historic reputation as the capital of British brewing.
