When were Sheffield Wednesday founded?

Sheffield Wednesday Football Club was founded on 4 September 1867 as “[The Wednesday]”. It was formed as an offshoot of the Wednesday Cricket Club, initially to keep members fit during the winter months, and was named after the day they held their weekly half-day off for games.
