Brighton & Hove Albion’s primary and most famous nickname is The Seagulls, which became popular in the mid-1970s as a counter to rivals Crystal Palace’s “Eagles” chant. Historically, the club has also been known as The Albion and briefly used The Dolphins in the mid-1970s before adopting the seagull as their badge
Brighton & Hove Albion have had four main home grounds in their history: the Goldstone Ground (1902–1997), temporary use of Gillingham’s Priestfield Stadium (1997–1999), Withdean Stadium (1999–2011), and their current home, Falmer Stadium (2011–present), commonly known as the Amex Stadium.
