When were Liverpool founded?

Liverpool FC was officially founded on June 3, 1892, by John Houlding, following a split from Everton FC. After Everton left Anfield due to a rent dispute, Houlding created a new team to play at the stadium. The club was officially recognized by the Board of Trade on that date
